Rail vehicle examining and fixing system developed by the Sifang Rolling Stock Research Institute Co Ltd （SRSRI） made its debut at the World Intelligent Manufacturing Summit2017 in Nanjing recently． As the1^st bullet train examiner and amendment robot of the world， the robot is available for automated and intelligent rail vehicle examining． It extends another40％ examining areas compared with labor work and greatly enhanced bug identifying and examine efficiency．

System check and maintenance is needed for rail vehicles every day after work to ensure safety in future． Currently， it costs labor to do an eye check， which means pretty low efficiency and amendment quality． In the future robots can do the work instead． Smart examine and fix system， developed with2 years efforts by SRSRI， contains control center and image collecting robot． The box－like image－collecting robot actually is a smart carrier platform， which is loaded with various parts， including line－scavenging camera， array camera， GPS sensor， obstacle avoidance sensor， monitoring camera， lift and shift mechanism， flexible robot， and image collecting terminal． After the train backs to station， the image collecting robot will move， in fixed speed， to the area under the train to scan the bottom of the train wholly and collect images． Then it will stretch out the robot aim， which enables multi－angle revolving， and reversely move to the area beneath the bogie， robot arm will stretch to the space between bogie and bottom board of the train with camera， which will collect images of all key parts of the bogie in designated position， angle and order． The collected information will be shown in monitor of control center real－time． After work the robot will come back to the original place and shut down automatically．

It is said that this is the1^st machine in the world using highly flexible robot and robot sensing integration technologies to realize the graphical examine to all parts of vehicles according to the bullet train examine／amendment standards or city street－tram examine／amendment standards in the world． With cutting－edge graphic features identifying technologies and robot deep－learning technologies， the robot is able to have access to areas impossible for human， extending another40％ examined areas． It helps to lowers the examined blank area to enhance amendment efficiency． Moreover， it can identify bugs based on graphics automatically， including part lost， bolts loosen， and unknown objects， cracking and abrasion， then generate request order to examiners． High intelligence of the robot also is shown in its flexibility． If an obstacle appears in its designated route， it will collect info to feedback to operators and remake its path．

The robot is designed to work in different kinds of trenches to fit for various land conditions． Hanging or steel rails can be customized based on actual condition． （Wang Ping）

3．  Qingdao to build Shandong’s tallest city complex

The Qingdao Guoxin·Haitian Center， located on the No．48 Road West Hong Kong， Qingdao， is under intense construction currently． As the rebuilt project in former site of Haitian Hotel， the1st5－star hotel of Shandong， the center covers an area of about32，800sqm and is expected to be completed in2020． After being completed， another369m skyscraper will appear in core area of Qingdao central bay area． Not only is it the tallest building in Qingdao， it is also the tallest one among all projects under construction in Shandong province．
